I have known Maureen for many years.  I am pleased to endorse her as a candidate for council for the Town of Arnprior.  She is a very thoughtful and considerate individual.  She is smart, caring and compassionate.  She is a people person who has a sincere interest in the well-being of the Town of Arnprior and its growth over the coming years.  She works collaboratively, and if elected, will be a strong team member of the new council of the Town of Arnprior.

About Maureen Campbell

A Fresh, Non-Partisan Approach to Municipal Politics

“Together we the people achieve more than any single person could ever do alone. It is time to move beyond partisanship and build a stronger tomorrow.”

Maureen is committed to finding innovative ways to make life more affordable for residents, as inflation and the threat of recession continue to loom large.

She's willing to listen and understand different points of view.

That's exactly the kind of approach we need in government right now. With inflation soaring and the threat of recession looming, we need fresh ideas and innovation to make life more affordable for Arnprior residents.

My Mission

I want your voice to be heard. I want council decisions to reflect the wants and needs of our community. It's time for us to speak up and be heard, and I want to be the one that carries your voice to the council table.

My Vision

Arnprior has so much potential. We have a growing economy and we're trying to attract new businesses. We need to keep our businesses local and invest in our community. Most importantly, we need to keep our small-town, community-minded feel.

Testimonial...

I believe that Maureen Campbell would be a welcomed addition to Arnprior Town Council. In the time that I have known her, she has been a welcomed sounding board and she has respectfully shared her insight on some of the key files that I have dealt with at town council during this past term. She has done this in a thoughtful, and openminded way, and she always looked at all sides of an issue when sharing her views. Maureen’s background with CMHC and her understanding of their programs and policies would be a welcomed addition to the important discussions facing the new council during the next term. She is friendly, and approachable, but professional in her interactions.

About Maureen Campbell

What I Want to Achieve

I want our council to be transparent. I will centralize ethics. I want smart economic growth development without losing our small-town feel and personality.

Small towns, like Arnprior are looking for ways to:

  • provide a better quality
    of life
  • build on local assets while maintaining a small-town feel
  • strengthen our economy

Community Development

We must listen to what our communities want. Like a dog park. Additionally, we need to make it easier for our already established businesses to thrive and grow.

Encourage Tourism and Recreation

We need to build travel, tourism and recreation publicity and activities. The are movies filmed here, why are there not more tourism opportunities?

Transparent Communication

We need to develop a comprehensive approach transparency and communication by integrating traditional face-to-face consultation methods and innovative online tools.

Affordable Housing

There’s nowhere to build new affordable housing. We can do things like creating accessory dwelling units and speeding up discretionary review processes.

Smart Economic Growth

We will create a strategy that builds upon existing assets, takes incremental actions to strengthen communities and builds long-term value to attract a range of investments.

Strengthen Economy

We need to evaluate the total portfolio of offerings as a business destination, then build a strategy. We must recognize the value of what we already have.
